Over 20 years of goodness

Bacco’s Bakeries was set up in 2001 by Luigi and Kristy Papagni. Inspired by Luigi’s Italian roots and a shared passion for good food, the couple began to develop their own version of traditional family recipes in a home kitchen bakery in the Mornington Peninsula.

After relocating to Murrurundi and then to our current premises here in Wickham NSW, the Papagni’s kept creating clean, moreish products using only the finest quality Australian ingredients.

In 2020, the bakery was taken over by new local owners, Todd and Karlene Russell. They were drawn to the strong family values, Italian influence and nicheness of the products and continue to embrace the same Bacco’s philosophy.

Bringing strong business management skills to the table, Todd and Karlene hope to grow it for their family so that even more people can enjoy artisanal Italian goodness.

The taste is in the name

Bacco or Baccus was the ancient god of wine, viticulture, fruit growing all of nature. Well, our bites are a little bit divine!
